beauty and growing up

I've always liked watching high school girls growing up (This didnt sound as bad in my head than it did typed out here.. I swear Im not some lesbian peadophile!). Theres just this thing about them which reminds me of .. well, myself.
Today my mom had some of her friends over for home fellowship and i noticed some of the 13 year olds changed so much since the last time I actually sat down and talk to them. some of them lost tonnes of weight while others started dressing differently. so cute!and by now they'll discover the wonders of modern technology (Handphones!) and texting till late with boys HAHA. funny how we actually text more at 13. By now, if Im lucky I recieve maybe 10 texts... 6 from maxis, 2 from Pubs telling me about their latest offer and 2 from aaron going "WHY DIDNT YOU PICK UP?" heh.


But Ive never met anyone as hardcore as kat and I. by the time we were 13, we were prancing around in super high platforms (4 inches okay dont play!). I discovered the wonders of eyelash curlers and plucked my brows at 13. I bought my first eyeshadow at the age of 15 - I bought a pink shadow.. I dont know what I was thinking...PINK EYESHADOW?!. I pierced my navel at 14 years old.

Thinking about it, I did grow up a little bit too fast. I seriously looked four years older than my actual age back then. But I have never regretted it, in fact, I loved it! I love being vain and looking the best I can, regardless of age.

That being said, Im just glad that even though I could not mature anymore in terms of vanity, I did mature thinking wise. When I was young, beauty was everything. My mom's most favourite words were "beauty doesnt last forever". I used to think when that happens, wtf am I suppose to do! But over the years, Ive learned beauty really isnt everything. Beauty attracts, but brains will keep people interested. That is why it is so important that every hour you spend beautify-ing yourself, you should double it up in studying.

and no Im not just saying this because Monash has too many hot girls and that Ive lost hope in the beauty section T_______________T lol!
